Walk for Prostate Cancer

SwitchFIT invites you to join their 'Blue Do' event supporting Blue September - 'Walk for Prostate Cancer'.

The Prostate Cancer Foundation has a significant role in promoting public awareness of this disease. With over 3,000 New Zealand men are being diagnosed each year with prostate cancer.

Join us to help make a difference and raise funds to go towards better education and care for the men of New Zealand.

We are super excited to have teamed up with the Christchurch Adventure Park for this awesome event. For those of you who have never visited the park before, this is an excellent opportunity to check out there amazing facilities whilst supporting a charity that is very close to many hearts.

We will kick start the day at 8.45am where we will meet in front of the cafe for a quick 15 minute warmup and debrief.

We will all make our way up their walking track at 9am to the top of the park. At this time you can choose to walk back down or catch their chair lift for a scenic ride, taking in the views of our beautiful city.

We have been advised the walk will take approx 1 - 2 hours long (depending on the individual), therefore we advise bringing a drink bottle and snacks to keep you going!

We ask you all to bring a donation of any size. There will be collection buckets at the start of the walk with 100% off all donations going directly to the Prostate Cancer Foundation NZ.

Feel free to wear an item of blue clothing to show your support (this is optional).

GIVEAWAYS - We will have SwitchFIT memberships up for grabs as well as meal plans, coffee and muffins vouchers plus more! Check out our website to view our membership options and services.

We have been advised by the park that dependent on turn out on the day, start times may need to be staggered to allow for a safe environment for all involved.

If you choose to take their chair lift back down the hill, please also note this works at 100 people per hour. Therefore, there could be a wait to get back down the hill so bring a warm jacket also.

So let's do this, every little bit helps and goes towards education and prevention.

If you are unable to make the event and would like to donate please feel free to visit our donation page:
