Race Course
The race will begin at the start of Lord Of The Possums and will run the entire length to ‘Hot Spot’ or the end of LOP. (Unfortunately due to the rain, we're unable to do our extended run which included Handle the Jandal).

Protective Equipment
At CAP we are safety conscious and encourage all riders to wear appropriate gear to protect themselves from injury.

For the race riders MUST
 Wear a safe and functional helmet that meets NZ bike standards with no cracks in it
 Be wearing a shirt (e.g. no singlets)
 Appropriate closed toe shoes

We strongly recommend that riders wear
 Full Face Helmet that meets NZ bike standards with no cracks in it
 Full finger gloves
 Knee pads
 Full-length pants
 Long sleeve shirts
 Elbow protection
 Neck Brace

If you wish to wear any of the items we strongly recommend but don’t own them, let us know at race registration on Saturday (or earlier) and we can organise gear for you free of charge, excluding neck braces. (refundable deposit will occur).

There will be practice runs on the day. Remember, slow riders have right of way.

A change from last chainless event, we will NOT have any mechanics taking chains off. This is up to yourself to sort out. For practice runs your chains can remain on, however, your chain MUST be removed BEFORE you get on the lift for your race run.

Where to park
The main car park will be open from 8:15 am. Park in there. Any overflow can park in the paddock and alongside the driveway but please fill in the main carpark first.

The toilets behind the café will be open from 8:15 am.
There is only ONE portaloo located near the start line. You have been warned.
There will also be several water cans located at the top station available for use.

Start Times
We have whiteboards with set category start times, please make sure that you find the appropriate start time and allow at least 20 minutes to head up the chairlift to be there on time. These whiteboards will be located at race registration in the Handle Bar and Cafe, and at Validation (bottom of the chair).

The weather is looking very promising with the sun out shining today and forecasted for the same tomorrow with light winds. Don’t forget, this is a winter series race, meaning it is winter, so please bring your windproof jackets and layer up as it can get very cold on the lift and there may be some standing waiting around.

Start practising and keep those fingers crossed for the fine weather to continue!
