What's going on at the Park?
Due to the Port Hills fire in February the Park is currently closed until further notice. A full logging operation is taking place to remove the affected trees. The haul-rope on the chairlift has been damaged and needs to be replaced. Assessments continue on the lift towers and Zipline. At this stage it is still too early to set a re-opening date.
The Christchurch Adventure Park is a 365-hectare development in Christchurch’s Port Hills. Stage One opened in December 2016 and includes New Zealand's longest chairlift, the largest collection of gravity assisted down-hill trails in the Southern Hemisphere at a variety of levels, 4 dual-ziplines and a Cafe I Bar with a large deck for post adventure food and drinks.
