Lift Access: No experience in lift accessed downhill trails
General Cycling: Limited mileage on city streets and paved paths. Limited experience on a mountain bike on dirt roads or gravel bike paths.
Skill: Can effectively balance and control a bike and is familiar with the use of hand brakes
At this level it is strongly suggested you book one of the Introductory Package. The aim is for you first bike park visit to be a positive experience and the CAP instructors will teach you the proper bike skills (stance, braking, cornering) at the appropriate speed and make sure your skill progression is paced accordingly.
Lift Access: Limited experience in lift accessed downhill mountain bike tracks. Able to ride comfortably at slower speeds on moderately sloped dirt trails.
General Cycling: Limited experience on a XC mountain bike. Limited mileage on terrain containing loose rocks and roots.
Skill: Can effectively balance and control on a bike and is familiar with the use of hand brakes.
At this skill level the Introductory Package is recommended and then depending on experience the half day group package is also recommended.
Lift Access: Experience on green (easiest) trails and easier blue (intermediat trails). Interested in progressing skills towards more challenging blue trails.
General Cycling: Comfortable at slower speeds on technical blue trails with roots, rocks and narrow single-track. More experience on a cross-country mountain bike rather than a down-hill bike.
Skill: No jumping or drop skills. Limited cornering skills. Comfortable braking and changing gears.
Lift Access: Comfortable on green and blue technical trails descending trails. Comfortable on green flow trailsand blue flow trails with easy rollers and jumps. Working on improving jumps, drops and cornering skills on blue flow trails. Has limited experience on raised wood sections.
General Cycling: Mileage in cross country blue and black technical trails that contain roots, rocks and small rolling drops.
Skill: Limited drop and jump experience. Comfortable riding at higher speeds and on steeper terrain.
Lift Access: Comfortable on all blue technical and flow jump and drop trails. Has mileage on black technical and flow jump and drop trails. Working on black jump and drop trails as well as higher speed cornering
General Cycling: Comfortable on all blue technical XC trails and most black XC trails.
Skill: Jump and drop experience. Comfortable at higher speeds and loose rough terrain.
Lift Access: Significant mileagea confident on black technical and flow trails containing large jumps and drops and steep banked corners.
General Cycling: Comfortable on most cross country and down hill black trails and higher speeds.
Skill: Mileage on black jump and drop trails. Able to ride on steep loose terrain and maintain control at higher speeds.
